  • Having trouble browsing and shopping online?

Please check that your web browser is using the most up-to-date version. If not, you can simply download the latest version of your web browser to ensure you are browsing and shopping the site without any bugs or problems.

  • How long will my order take to be delivered?

We aim to dispatch all orders within 5 working days. If you have provided a valid mobile number or email when placing your order, the courier will send you a notification of when the order is due to be delivered to you. You will then be able to re-arrange delivery direct with the courier if applicable.

UK Mainland

For all UK Mainland orders, please allow up to 5 working days for your order to be processed and delivered. Deliveries will be made Monday-Fridays from 8-6pm.

Jack in a Box

'Jack in a Box' Free Delivery service is only available for UK Mainland customers and are delivered through the letter box with Royal Mail. Once dispatched, they can take between 3-5 working days to be delivered to you. If you live outside of UK Mainland and would like to order a 'jack in a box', you will be charged the normal postage rate for your location.

International orders

We advise that International Orders will be received within 10 working days via the international courier service.

  • What do I do if my order is incorrect or damaged on delivery?

If your order is damaged or incorrect please email bfriars@blackfriarsbakery.co.uk or call us on +44116 2786029 within 48 hours of receiving your order so we can rectify the problem as soon as possible.  Please quote your order or delivery note number when contacting us.  

  • What is the returns policy?

  • How can I make a Wholesale enquiry?

For all trade enquiries please get in touch using the website contact form.  Alternatively you can call us on +44116 2786029 and speak to a member of our sales team. We are open Monday-Friday 9-5pm excluding Bank Holidays.

  • Are your products suitable for Vegetarians?

Yes, all of our products listed on the website are suitable for Vegetarians.

  • Are your products suitable for Vegans?

We have 8 flavours of flapjacks which are suitable for Vegans, these are as follows:- Original, Fruit, Cherry & Coconut, Apple & Raspberry, Chocolate & Orange, Apricot, Ginger Choc Chip and Date & Walnut flapjack. We also have 3 porridge oat bars that are vegan friendly and gluten-free – Merry Berry, Seed Sensation and Cocoa Cranberry & Orange.

  • Are your products Halal Certified?

All products have been certified as Halal with the exception of:- Black Cherry Flapjack, Yoghurt Flapjack, Bakewell Flapjack, Christmas Flapjack, Black Forest Muffin, Choc & Orange Muffin, Blueberry Muffin and the Raspberry & White Choc Cookie.

  • Do you have any Gluten Free Products?

Yes, Merry Berry, Cocoa, Cranberry & Orange and Seed Sensation Porridge Oat Bars

  • Where do I find out about the Nutritional Information and Allergen advice for each product?

Each product on the website has ingredients & nutritional information that details all allergen advice for each product.

  • How do I store the products?

All of our products are ambient therefore should not be refrigerated as this will affect the shelf life. The products should be stored at room temperature away from cooled environments such as fridges, freezers and air conditioner units. 

  • Can the products be frozen?

Yes. If you decide to freeze the products we recommend that you consume them within 4 weeks after defrosting. We recommend that you do not freeze your products for longer than 12 months.

  • Can you freeze flapjacks?

Yes, as stated above if you decide to freeze your flapjacks on the day of purchase/ receipt of goods, we recommend that you consume them within 4 weeks after defrosting the flapjacks. The flapjacks must be left individually wrapped and stored in ambient conditions for up to 4 weeks after defrosting. The flapjacks should only take 6 - 12 hours to defrost in ambient conditions. We recommend that you do not freeze your flapjacks for longer than 12 months. We do not recommend freezing the same batch of flapjacks more than once.

  • Do you use Palm Oil in the products?

Yes we do use Palm Oil in some of our products and this is outlined in the ingredients decleration, however we only use Palm Oil from Sustainable sources.

  • Is VAT Applicable?

The products in the Blackfriars range are exempt from VAT.  However the delivery charge of £4.99 is inclusive of VAT.

  • Do Blackfriars offer contract manufacturing?

Yes, Blackfriars can manufacture your bakery products under your own private brand label. To discuss the possibility of manufacturing your own brand products, please contact us.
