Flapjacks in the post

Flapjacks in the post.  Normally the postman bring me bills and rather dull letters about car insurance.  Imagine my delight when the doorbell rang this morning and I went to the front door to discover a box of toffee flacks awaiting me!  A friend of mine had remembered that Blackfriars is now offering a special delivery service and had decided to send me a box on (one of) my favorite varieties.

(By the way, I don’t think it matter how many flavours we introduce, I think that a toffee flapjack will always take some beating.

Which flavour of flapjack would you most like to recive on your doormat?

Flapjacks tend to be eaten as a mid morning or mid afternoon snack to keep hunger at bay.  But that is not the only way you can eat your flapjack.  I’d love to hear different ways of eating your favourite Blackfriars flapjack.

Last week we had an e-mail from one long standing customer who heats his Bakewell flapjack in the microwave for 30 sends and then adds warm custard and a delicious pudding.  In the name of customer research I tried this out myself and can promise you it is delicious!

Have you tried doing somthing different with your flapkack?  We’ll send a prize to the most mouth watering idea!

Banoffee Muffin

Can’t write for long as I’ve just been passed a Banoffee muffin which is now sitting on my desk.  I might be imagining things but if I listen carefully it seems to be saying ‘eat me’ and it would be rude not to.  Mmmmm Banoffee Muffin….
