Flapjacks keep you full

What’s the best way to get that ‘full up’ feeling? In almost every study I have read, the best way is described as through eating oat based products. Now that can be porridge, but it can equally be the (some would say) rather more delicious tasting flapjack.
It’s because oats are full of the slow release energy so unlike, say, a chocolate bar, eating a flapjack will release energy over a long period of time. This means that you don’t suffer from energy ‘spikes’ of feeling hyper followed by feeling sleepy.
So if you want to feel full up, avoid feeling sleepy and have lots of energy over a long period of time then you could do worse that eating a flapjack.
